FOOD JUNCTION REOPENS REVAMPED FOOD COURT
AT RAFFLES CITY UNDER NEW BRAND "THE FOOD
PLACE".
SINGAPORE, 2 December 2008 - Mainboard-listed,
Food Junction Holdings Limited and its subsidiaries
("Food Junction" or the "Group"),
a specialized food and beverage service management
Group, is pleased to announce that The Food Place
at Raffles City Shopping Centre opens today.
The 16,000 sq. ft. food court at Level 4 underwent
a complete makeover by a renowned Japanese Firm
specially commissioned by the Group. The interior
colonial concept, that is modern and stylish,
with white background settings, delivers a totally
different dining experience for the customers.
Managing Director, Mr Andrew Fu, said, "We
are excited about the opening of The Food Place.
The design is very unique, and the ambience is
spacious and comfortable. We are excited to pamper
our customers with our improved food mix. Our
self-operated stalls offer new menu like roti
prata with chili crab/prawn, vegetable/fruits
salad bar and Tenya tempura don concept, that
promises to pamper customers with surprises."

Food Junction has been established for 15 years.
To-date, Food Junction manages and operates a
total of 17 food courts: 12 in Singapore and 3
in Malaysia, 1 in Indonesia and 1 in China. It
also self-operates 63 F&B stalls, out of the
245 stalls in the Group's food court business.
As a food court management specialist, Food Junction
manages the operational aspects of its food courts
and food stalls, ranging from cash collection
services to dish collection, dish washing, cleaning
and general maintenance. To enable tenants to
stay focused on food quality and services, an
operations team is stationed at each food court
to ensure smooth day-to-day running of the food
courts as well as the food stalls. The Group also
handles the marketing and tenant mix of each food
court, and handles the advertising and promotion
of the food courts to create greater awareness.
As a F&B specialist, Food Junction has broadened
its F&B business into lifestyle concepts with
the operation of Tetsu Japanese restaurant and
kokoro gourmet gift boutique. The Group had also
expanded its restaurant operations overseas with
the acquisition of Malone's American Café
restaurant chain in Shanghai (PRC) in October
2008.
